Abstract During this internship I added the ability to
control Smart Lights to the teams existing backend. This includes a SmartLightAdapter service, backend code to manage Light
resources, and a UI. In global cross-dock facilities, the status of a load
currently must be checked by refreshing a web page. Having a light
representation of this state is a much more efficient way of presenting this
information. The code is currently running in production. It currently only
available in the test facility until there is a security review and the
hardware is rolled out to facilities. This has provided the basic setup for
light-based status updates in facilities. A future extension of this may be
using different colored lights to indicate where an item should be placed
upon scanning its barcode. |
