Abstract The main aim of the capstone project was to redesign
the release process that deploys software features to production at Premera Blue Cross. This was done by creating a delivery
agreement application that captures and stores information about a service
before feature development and ensures artifact accessibility for audit
reviews. The delivery agreement application was created to
take input from users and leverage the configuration management database
(CMDB). Additionally, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and the ServiceNow platform were
utilized to create the application. This project also involved modifying
existing wireframes and conducting meetings with individuals in the IT
Service Management and the IT automation teams to better understand
stakeholder requirements and test the application. Testing the application
involved working individually and with other developers to try out different
cases. Also, the project involved the creation of different prototypes. After
each prototype was created, the stakeholders were walked through the
prototype and their feedback was reflected in the next prototype. The project
also involved writing documentation about how the application was created
(for developers) and how to utilize the application (for users). At the end
of the project, the delivery agreement application was approved by
stakeholders, and the intention is to utilize it as part of the new
redesigned release process. |
