Abstract

For my Capstone, I worked as a software engineering intern at T-Mobile. The goal of my internship was to learn about mobile software development for iOS applications and to aid in the development of the business hub connect iOS mobile client. The main purpose of this application is to aid businesses with communication between employees. The app provides features such as calling, messaging for users and allows them to use their phone numbers for both work and personal use, by routing work calls through the app. The app provides a platform for employees HD quality calling, Call waiting, transfers, 3 way calls, Call blocking, Call forwarding, Out of office settings, Switching calls, Voicemails, Group calling, Caller protection: E-911, Name ID, Use office phone numbers as mobile talk and text lines, SMS, MMSm RCS messaging, Sharing documents, images, gifs, locations, Group and 1:1 messaging threads. I was involved in the development of these features and I added various features relating to messaging and calling to the application with the help of my team. One of the biggest features that I worked on was to store outgoing messages in a message queue, to allow users the ability to create group chat threads properly. The additions I have made to the app enable better and bug-free experiences for users, improving communication and efficiency within businesses who use our app. Business Hub Connect combined with T-Mobile's network allows businesses to take advantage of these features using existing business numbers, enabling communications among employees with persistent and synced data.
